Jorge Pimenta nasceu no ano de 1969, em Braga, cidade onde cumpriu a sua formação académica e vive.
É professor de Português, profissão que exerce na Escola Básica e Secundária de Vale d'Este, em Viatodos - Barcelos, sendo ainda investigador na área da Didática do Português. Mantém uma relação de cumplicidade com a escrita, sobretudo com a poesia, tendo já alguns trabalhos publicados na área. Mais recentemente, descobriu uma nova paixão, a fotografia, que concebe como "uma das formas privilegiadas de tocar o mundo, por isso vemos pelas retinas biológicas e pelas dos afetos, redefinindo, a cada abrir e fechar de pálpebras, a existência. É nesta teia de relações que emergem a fotografia e a escrita, uma e outra interfaces perfeitos com tudo quanto agita e inquieta".


Jorge Pimenta was born in 1969 in Braga, where he completed his studies and still lives today.
He teaches Portuguese at Vale d'Este school, in Viatodos, Barcelos, working also as a researcher in the Didactics of Portuguese. He has a very close relationship with writing, mainly poetry, having already some published works in this area. He has recently found a new passion, photography, which he perceives as "a privileged way of touching the world, so we not only see through the physical eyes but also through the emotional ones, redefining at every blink of an eye, who we are. It's in this complex web of relationships that photography and writing emerge, both being perfect connections to everything that agitates you and gives you a sense of restlessness".
